Mommy-shamers came for Kim Kardashian after she shared a photo of herself out and about with her two oldest children, North West, 5, and Saint West, 2. It was Saint’s pacifier that had caused the momsters to troll her comments, but the joke's on them, because Kimmy revealed that what looked like a pacifier in Saint’s mouth was actually candy. ‘90s babies know all about Ring Pops and how the ring-like lollipop can sometimes be mistaken for a pacifier.
The negativity included comments like, “children shouldn’t be using pacifier past age 1, it’s recommended that they don’t use one even after 6months...” Well, according to Parents, a trusted source to moms and dads alike, writes “pediatric dentists recommend limiting pacifier time once a child is 2 and eliminating it by age 4 to avoid dental problems.” While Saint is still falls into the “limiting” phase for binkys, that fact still remains the tot was just enjoying a lollipop.
Kim delivered this classy clapback in her caption, “Missing my babies!!!!! P.S. mom shammers [sic] it’s not a pacifier, he’s eating candy!” Bloop.
The Keeping Up With Kardashian star is no stranger to mommy-shaming. She was recently criticized for letting North wear makeup. With the rise of the momster regulating parenting techniques, it begs the question: When should you listen to advice from other moms, and when should you do you as a parent?
