Update (7/18/19)-  New reports claiming the Russian made photo-editing app FaceApp could be collecting your personal data may have you thinking again before snapping a photo to see your aged self!

According to the New York Post, the free AI mobile photo-editing app created in 2017 at Wireless Lab in St. Petersburg, Russia, has terms and conditions that reportedly gives them the "right to modify, reproduce and publish any of the images you process through its AI."

“You grant FaceApp a perpetual, irrevocable… royalty-free… license to use, adapt, publish, distribute your user content… in all media formats… when you post or otherwise share,” UK-based Digitas strategist James Whatley said via Twitter.

Simply put, the developers allegedly reserve the right to use your real name, your username or “any likeness provided” in any format without your permission or any payment. Yikes, not to mention the danger you can possibly be putting yourself in with Russian hackers!

So, bottom line? Be careful downloading new apps and participating in viral challenges before you really do develop those unwanted stress lines.
