For Latham Thomas, “every single day is a day to honor your mother.”

Latham Thomas is the Founder of MamaGlow, a boutique holistic lifestyle service for moms-to-be. When Latham was pregnant with her son, Fulano, she saw a need for women to have holistic support along the birth continuum.

Working to bridge the gap between optimal wellness, spiritual growth and radical self-care, Latham founded MamaGlow when she was pregnant, because there weren’t enough options where she was living. Latham notes, “I wanted to start my own venture that would help support women along the birth journey.”

Latham shared her affinity for Mother’s Day during a recent interview with BET Networks, saying this about the special day in May: “Every second of every minute, of every day, women are giving birth. So every day is really Mother’s Day. Everything changes you once you become a mother, so to me it’s really beyond a celebration, but really a way for us to just remind ourselves to honor our mothers.”

A graduate of Columbia University and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Latham is not only a maternity lifestyle maven, but also a wellness and birth coach, yoga teacher and author on the vanguard of transforming the maternal wellness movement.

Latham said, “The best piece of advice my mom ever gave me in action was really good eating and hydration [habits], and what you eat becomes your blood, your thoughts and your actions and comes through your skin, which can either look radiant and beautiful or the opposite.

While it’s clear Latham was positively influenced by her mom’s healthful eating and hydration, Latham added, “I would say thank you to my mom. By her letting me live my life and be the person I’m supposed to be, I’ve been able to reach for my dreams and goals. I didn’t appreciate it at the time and when I was younger, but it’s a huge thing to give someone life.”

This Mother’s Day, we join Latham Thomas in celebrating and honoring her very own “MamaGlow.”
