You’ve seen her slay on stage and on the streets, now see Rihanna working her swag like never before. Dior has released the official video for its new “The Secret Garden IV” campaign, starring Rihanna. In it, the songstress stalks the halls and gardens of the famed Palace of Versailles in France wearing a parade of show-stopping looks from the Esprit Dior Tokyo collection.
And no, show-stopping is not an understatement. The one-minute clip opens with a close-up of the singer’s patent leather pumps as they ascend a grand staircase, then cuts to her strutting confidently through the grand Hall of Mirrors in a shimmery sequin high-neck gown, her hair brushed back from her face, falling in glamorous waves down her back and a fierce red lacquer on her lips.
She also brings the drama in a plunging red halter gown as she runs away from the camera’s gaze and stands authoritatively on one of the great lawns under moonlight in a full-skirted black trench and bejeweled black veil. The promo video was shot by American photographer Steven Klein and is set to a clip from "Only If for a Night," a track from her upcoming album, R8.
Basically, she’s giving us all of our life in 60 seconds flat! The “American Oxygen” singer is the French luxury brand’s first Black campaign star. No doubt, this glorious campaign is worthy of such a title.
