Chipmunk (born Jahmaal Noel Fyffe) is a North London rapper who made a name for himself with his 2006 mixtape effort League of My Own. In 2009, Chipmunk won two MOBO awards for songs from his I Am Chipmunk album: Best Hip-Hop Act and Best British Single for "Diamond Rings" (featuring Emeli Sande). He followed that up with Transition in 2011, which features stateside notables Keri Hilson, Trey Songz and others. The single "Champion," which features Chris Brown, reached No. 2 on the U.K. singles charts and qualifies Chipmunk as champion in his own right.
