Showcasing her talent since the early ‘80s, it wasn’t until JoMarie Payton scored a role as Harriet Winslow on ABC’s Perfect Strangers that she became a TV star. Her popularity on the show led to a spin-off, Family Matters, which focused on the day-to-day struggles and domestic life of the Winslows.
