Directed by Cess Silvera, co-produced by Wyclef Jean and with music by Stephen Marley, Shottas is a 2002 gangster film set in Jamaica and Miami and featuring an all-star reggae cast. Starring Kimani Marley and Spragga Benz (Carlton Grant), the film follows two childhood friends through adulthood as they battle a drug kingpin, played by Reggae artist Louie Rankin (Leonard Ford). Co-producer Jean also appeared in the film. It was released in the United States in 2006 and received a 2007 BET Hip Hop Awards nomination for Best Hip Hop Movie.
