Vicus and Vincent

Musical Duo

It all began in 2004 when a neighbor persuaded then-10-year-old Vicus Visser to let her record his rendition of All-4-One's "These Arms" on her phone. In 2010, the recording made it's way to YouTube, garnering nearly 75,000 views and comparisons to a young Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber — and that's when the hunt for Vicus began. Performing with his brother Vincent since they were young, the two capitalized off the success of the video by recording original music and performing around their native South Africa until they were invited to showcase their skills at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., for a Black History Month Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela in 2013. The two musical brothers have since performed at the 2014 BET Honors and are now featured Music Matters artists. (Photo: Nick Boulton)
