The final autopsy reports of the 49 victims killed during the June 12^th Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando revealed devastating details about the multiple gunshot wounds most of the victims suffered. 

In the reports, it was discovered that nearly 200 collective gunshot wounds were suffered between the 49 victims. Twenty of the 49 victims were shot in the head, while one victim had been shot 10 times.

The Orange County Medical Examiner's office began performing autopsies seven hours after the shooting. The families of the victims were notified before the autopsies were made available to the public.

The 200 gunshot wounds recorded do not account for the 53 survivors of the attack. The survivors and deceased victims suffered a collective total of 260 gunshot wounds. The medical examiner found that a 30-year-old man died from a complex gunshot wound after a bullet entered his left arm, exited his chest and re-entered his neck.

One victim was shot in the head and later died from three high-velocity gunshot wounds.

Omar Mateen, the shooter of the attack, also had his autopsy released. His report showed that he was shot eight times by police and was hit in his head, neck, chest, abdomen, right calf and right foot.

The autopsy reports will be used by the U.S. Department of Justice as evidence when they review the response of the Orlando Police Department.
