Angela Yee Finally Reveals Her Reaction To Charlamagne’s Interview With Gucci Mane

“You can’t just sit there and laugh when something like that happens.”

As suspected following Charlamagne Tha God’s viral interview with Gucci Mane, it appears smoke has blurred the friendship lines between Charlamagne and Angela Yee.

  • After Charla and Gucci’s interview where the rapper claimed he was banned from the radio show because of Yee, there have been reports of discord between The Breakfast Club co-hosts. Guwop also had choice words for Yee and DJ Envy in the interview.

  • Yee did her own sit down on The Quicksilva Show with DJ Quicksilva and Leah Henry where she addressed the drama for the first time.

The convo heated up after Quicksilva inquired if there was any truth to Guwop’s claims that Yee tried to shoot her shot at him, to which she responded with a quick, “What do you think?”

  • QuickSilva made it clear he didn’t think the allegations were true, given that he knows Yee, personally, but just wanted to give her the opportunity to speak on the record.

“Fortunately, people that know me in real life would be like 'come on that’s ridiculous,’” Yee said. “I understand people don’t know me before The Breakfast Club so they don’t understand that I had [another] show where we talked really crazy all the time...But, I think mature adults know that you can discuss sex and [have] conversations and that doesn’t mean that someone likes you.”

  • Yee thinks that Gucci just mistook the conversation for something more than it was.

Afterward, Leah asked if there was still some tension between Yee and Charla since the interview with Guwop. While Yee didn’t comment on their relationship, she felt that Charla should’ve shut Gucci Mane down when he got out-of-pocket.

  • “I knew he was doing the interview,” Yee responded. “I just think that, in general, if you work with someone and someone’s saying nasty things you can’t even say on the radio, in a derogatory way - talking about a woman that way, because I have never called anybody out of their name, I think that’s the real issue. You can’t just sit there and laugh when something like that happens. I would hope that if somebody was like ‘Oh she’s a b***h’ you would shut that down and be like ‘Yo, chill. Don’t talk about a woman like that.’”
