12 People Including Tamera Mowry's Niece Killed In Thousand Oaks Mass Shooting

Sargent Ron Helus, a 29-year veteran of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, was also killed in the tragic incident.

Tamera Mowry’s niece, Alaina Housley, has been confirmed as one of the 12 people killed in the Wednesday evening’s mass shooting inside a Thousand Oaks, California bar.

Mowry’s husband Adam Housley confirmed to USA Today that Alaina was killed inside the Boarderline bar.

"Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks," the couple stated via Chantal Artur,  their joint representative. "Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time."

    Tamera Mowry-Housley and her husband are searching for their niece after the mass shooting at a Southern California bar.

    Authorities say a gunman killed 12 people Wednesday night (November 7) at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks. Alaina Housley’s suite mate says the young woman was at the bar during the time of the shooting.

  • “My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything #Borderline,” Ashley, Alaina’s suite mate, wrote on Twitter.

    Mowry-Housley’s husband, former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, also took to the social media website and tweeted, “Please pray if you believe….pray.”

    The shooter has been identified as Ian David Long, a former Marine who has reportedly had prior run-ins with the law.

    Our thoughts are with the Mowry-Housley family during this difficult time and hope Alaina will be found safe.
