Huge News For 'Luke Cage' Fans

Fans of the Netflix original series Luke Cage have a new reason to rejoice.

Today (Nov. 4) the streaming giant took to its social media pages to confirm that the series will officially see a second season.

The series, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, stars Mike Colter as the lead and has been met with positive reviews since its premiere back in September. 

For the exciting announcement, Netflix shared a short video clip showcasing a sign in Pop's Barber Shop, reading "Season 2 Coming Soon." The posts were captioned with Pop's motto, "Always forward," a mantra that Luke Cage takes to heart through out the first season. 

Luke Cage marks the third Marvel-inspired show to receive a second season on Netflix's platform, joining the ranks of Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Needless to say, 2017 is starting to look pretty good already.
