Morris Chestnut Signs Three-Picture Deal With Screen Gems

Actor will star in films with Regina Hall, Michael Ealy.

We'll be seeing a lot more of Morris Chestnut on the big screen in the next couple of years. The actor has inked a three-picture deal with Screen Gems, Deadline.com reports. The deal includes Chestnut as an actor and producer, with the three projects already in the works.
The first of the pics is upcoming thriller The Perfect Guy, which stars Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy, and Chestnut. The next film to follow will be When the Bough Breaks, a psychological thriller that will star Chestnut and Regina Hall as a professional couple who hires a blue-collar surrogate who develops a violent obsession with the husband.

Chestnut’s third project will be The Syndicate, from writer Cliff Dorfman (Entourage, Warrior), with Chestnut producing.
The deal stems from a long and lucrative history between Chestnut and Screen Gems. The actor starred in no fewer than nine films for the studio, including its 2012 hit Think Like a Man. Indeed, Screen Gems has seen a lot of success with so-called Black films (the studio also released About Last Night and will distribute Kevin Hart's next film, The Wedding Ringer).
Watch Kevin Hart in a new episode of Real Husbands of Hollywood every Tuesday, 10P/9C.
