While the cast of Barbershop: The Next Cut makes the promo rounds, co-stars Common and Anthony Anderson stopped by BET.com to dish on the movie being set in Chicago. Speaking passionately on how the film authentically addressed what's going on in the city, the Oscar winner was clearly proud of the outcome, but his co-star jumped in when his friends' opinions came into play.
"When we screened the movie in Chicago... my friends give you that real talk like you get in a barbershop. They let me know a lot of stuff they didn't like that I've done," he said. "They were just like, 'Man, that represented Chicago so well. It told our story the way it should be told.'"
Then the Black-ish star hilariously interrupted with a question for the MC: "The album cover when you were, like, the ringmaster of the circus with the bald head, did they really give you s**t about that one?" he asked.
After Common admitted his boys definitely clowned him for that, Anthony hit him with the zinger, "They were like, 'Man, Erykah Badu done changed you, Common!'"
