Report: Lil Durk Arrested for Weapons Violation

Chicago rapper charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, expected in bond court.

Only three months after pleading guilty to aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, Lil Durk was picked up and handed another gun charge.

Chicago gang officers were investigating a homicide when they entered a home in Orland Hills, Ill., around 5 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 5), according to police reports uncovered by The Chicago Tribune.

Apparently, a woman answered the door and let the cops in, Durk was standing in the living room, and two guns –– a Glock .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 11 live rounds and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds –– were in plain sight on a kitchen island.

"I got those pipes 'cause [expletive] always be tryin' to take my bands," Durk said, according to the police.

Durk's attorney, Sam Adam, Jr., tells another story. "He’s upset, of course," Adam said. “We feel very confident that he did not possess a gun. ... At all."

The charge comes weeks away from the scheduled completion of Durk's parole. Judge Joseph Kazmierski Jr. sentenced him to 18 months of probation, time already served, and 50 hours of community service for a conviction stemming from a 2011 incident.

The Def Jam signee is expected in bond court Thursday to face the new charge, and has promised to rap about it all on an upcoming album Remember My Name.
