After countless drug rumors and being kicked out by his wife Karrine Steffans, Columbus Short hasn't been having the best year lately, but it seems as the actor's taking a step in the right direction.

Short is reportedly heading to rehab, TheJasmineBrand.com exclusively reports that former Scandal star is getting help after testing positive for cocaine and marijuana last month.

He will reportedly be staying at an outpatient facility in the Los Angeles area for four to six months. As is the case in any rehab facility, he will be unable to use any illegal drugs and will be randomly tested for drugs throughout his stay.

In addition to rehab, Columbus is also required to complete additional community service. If he violates parole again, he can possibly face jail time.

It's great to see the actor seeking help as he said in an interview with Access Hollywood Live that his substance abuse of both alcohol and cocaine due to stress brought on my family issues and personal loss, got him booted from Scandal.
