Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is furious at one of his co-stars, as he explained in a lengthy Instagram rant yesterday in which he called the mystery actor a "chicken sh*t" and "candy ass."
Many immediately speculated that Johnson was talking about Tyrese, but the singer and actor posted his own lengthy Instagram letter refuting the claim (along with a video of Rock singing "Happy Birthday" to his daughter as proof that there's no bad blood).
Now, though, we know he was actually talking about Vin Diesel.
Here's the post that started it all:
This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part😉. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses
And then Tyrese responded to make sure nobody would give him the side-eye in this drama:
Welp, according to TMZ, the real beef is between Rock and Diesel. According to reports, Rock is unhappy with some of the decisions Diesel made about Furious 8 as a producer, and things got so heated between them on set, it was becoming impossible for them to shoot scenes together.
Finally, the site reports, production got the two to sit down in a closed-door meeting to work it out. No clue as to whether it was actually effective, but, for now, it seems like the show will go on.
Meanwhile, Rock's co-stars are all furious with him for airing their dirty laundry on social media just a week and a half before filming wraps.
