Sad news: Martin star Thomas Mikal Ford has died after fighting for his life in an Atlanta hospital. He was 52.
The sitcom star, who played Martin Lawrence's best friend Tommy on all five seasons of the classic show, suffered a stomach aneurysm and was hospitalized on Sunday.

After conflicting reports all day today, TMZ finally confirmed that Ford passed away after his family made the difficult decision to take him off of life support this afternoon. He was surrounded by friends and family during his last moments in an Atlanta hospital.

Earlier today, his wife Gina confirmed that he was on life support after suffering a ruptured aneurysm in his abdomen. He was first hospitalized on Sunday and his health only deteriorated from then on.
