Watch! Dave Chappelle Responds to Reports That He's Voting for Donald Trump

He sets the record straight.

Dave Chappelle landed himself in a s**t storm over the weekend when it was reported that, during a comedy set in NYC, he ranted against Hillary Clinton and defended the actions and character of Donald Trump.

While Dave had his rep put out a statement saying his words were taken out of context, it seems like not everybody got the message. On Monday, though, he made sure to set the record straight in a way that would leave no room for interpretation — he spoke to the paparazzi.

When asked if he was actually pro-Trump, the typically reclusive comedian replied, "Jesus Christ, I'm not a Trump supporter." Adding, "Unequivocally no."

He continued, "I'm not going to elaborate on it, hell no. Just everybody vote, for whoever you want to vote for. But that's not what I'm doing," he said of voting for Trump.

As for where the rumor started, Chappelle was quick to point a finger. "Where was it from? It was from The Observer. That's it. Just come see my shows for yourself and not listen to conservative paper reviews."

So, does that settle it? We'll see if Dave finds the sense of humor in all this when he's hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.
