It looks like the folks over at VH1 are doing a major revamp of the Basketball Wives cast as reportedly five of the eight major cast members have been given the boot. In an effort to spice things up, however, one BW OG may be making her way back to the series that kicked off her career.
According to the Jasmine Brand, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxiell, Angel Brinks, Angel Love and DJ Duffey will not return for the next season as official cast members. However, Shaunie O'Neal, Tami Roman and Jackie Christie will all remain.
"The network wanted to shake things up, so they didn't renew contracts for Malaysia, Brandi, DJ Duffey, Angel Brinks and Angel Love," a source revealed.
While the ladies won't be included in the opening credits anymore, they won't be banned from appearing on the show.
"None of them will be full time, but the network is giving them the opportunity to make a few cameos," the source continued. "We'll have to see how filming plays out."
It is also rumored that original Basketball Wife Evelyn Lozada will return to the franchise in the next season.
This ought to be interesting.
