Twitter Blasts Wendy Williams For This Vile Comment About Nelly's Rape Case

Nelly has been the topic of headlines after he was accused of rape by a fan over the weekend.

According to The Hollywood GossipWendy Williams was eager to give her take on the scandal and took to her morning talk show to dish. In the process, she blamed the alleged victim. Twitter was not silent about the gaffe.

  • "If she did not put herself in that situation, this wouldn't have happened," she said before her packed studio audience. "Young lady, you've got to stay out of tour buses."

    Nelly was arrested for the alleged rape that reportedly took place on Friday night in Washington, D.C. following his performance on stage with Florida Georgia Line.

    The local police reported that, "at 3:48 p.m., a female called 911 to report that she was sexually assaulted by a male, who is known as the rapper 'Nelly.'"

    The St. Louis rapper firmly denied the allegations on Twitter shortly after the story went viral, tweeting, "Let me say that I am beyond shocked that I have been targeted with this false allegation. I am completely innocent."

    Understandably, Twitter has not reacted kindly.
