Hello, 2016: New Year's Resolutions for Our Favorite Stars

Raven, Meek, Miley and others who can use our advice.

Looking Ahead - As the clock winds down on 2015, it's time to think about the person we would like to be in the new year. For most of us, that means resolutions to lose weight, stop procrastinating or spend less time playing Candy Crush. For celebs, the goals can be a bit broader. Here are our suggestions for the things this year's most controversial stars should resolve to do in the coming year.(Photos from left: Marcus Ingram/Getty Images for Bacardi, Paul Zimmerman/Getty Images, Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Raven-Symoné: Think before you speak.  - The View host has said some crazy stuff this year, from announcing that she's from every "continent" in Africa to slamming "ghetto" names and insinuating Michelle Obama looks like a cat — and this is just the short list — if there's one thing we recommend for her in 2016, it's to think before she speaks... or to kindly just shut up.   (Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for The Trevor Project)

Miley Cyrus: Leave Black culture alone.  - How many ways has Miley Cyrus appropriated Black culture? At this point, too many to count. As VMA host this year, Miley caused quite the controversy, taking to the red carpet in blonde dreadlocks many deemed as cultural appropriation. Not surprising. Her endless twerking has sparked controversy from the start, including the scene in her "We Can't Stop" video in which she wears all white and a gold grill surrounded by Black dancers, who appeared more as props than people. If we have one message for Miley in 2016, it's to leave Black culture alone. Thanks in advance.   (Photo: Paul Zimmerman/Getty Images)

Meek Mill: Stay away from Drake.  - The rapper's attempt to discredit the 6 God backfired in a worse way than we could have ever imagined, starting with an Internet firestorm. Later, Drake released two diss tracks in retaliation, one of which topped the Billboard charts and earned a Grammy nomination. Meek Mill followed up with his own diss track, "Wanna Know," which Drake himself could only laugh at. And let's not get started on the memes. In 2016, we recommend that if Meek Mill sees Drake, he runs the other way. Or shuts up. Or both.  (Photo: Marcus Ingram/Getty Images for Bacardi)

Shad Moss: Keep your love life off Instagram. - The artist formerly known as Bow Wow doesn't seem to know when to stop when it comes to spilling the tea on his ex Erica Mena. Non-stop social media beefing, including a tragic post about a miscarriage, led to Erica's claims that the hip hop star is a woman beater. Shad retaliated by posting up with his baby's mother all over the 'Gram. Maybe next time Shad's Twitter fingers start to itch, he should think about what his mother would say if she were following him. (Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Rihanna and Kanye West: Drop those albums! - Two of music's biggest stars have been teasing us with the prospect of new music all year long. It's time to stop. Here's hoping we won't go through all of 2016 waiting on ANTI and SWISH.  (Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images for DirecTV)

Naya Rivera: Shower daily. - The fomer Glee star's statement on The View that "showering daily is a white people thing" inspired the outrage of Black Twitter, and rightfully so. Mostly because no one, Black or white, wants to be in Naya's company on that one. Girl, in 2016, we recommend you make a resolution to shower daily. Or twice daily. Go ahead and make up for lost time!  (Photo: Michael Loccisano/Getty Images)

Kylie Jenner: Leave something to the imagination. - Does this girl even own clothes? There's not much of the youngest member of the Kardashian clan that we haven't seen, and with her own website and app, we can now peek into her bedroom — and nearly every aspect of her life — any time we want. We know overexposure is the family business, but Kylie, honey, you're just 18. Pace yourself.  (Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Vivica A. Fox: Get over 50 Cent - The actress found a way to grab headlines this year by referring to her ex 50 as a "booty snatcher" on live television. The ongoing beef actually made us forget about Meek Mill's and Drake's feud, inspiring memes and music videos almost as laughable as the original itself. Though we all had a good laugh over it, it is kind of weird that Viv is still talking about her ex more than a decade after they split. Maybe it's time to start the new year by letting that one go.  (Photo: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)

Russell Wilson: Put a ring on it.  - Is it possible for Russell Wilson and Ciara to get any cuter? Ever since they first went public as a couple earlier this year, they seem attached at the hip. In fact, Russell has already been spending a lot of time with Ciara's son, Future, and CiCi seemed to hint on social media earlier this month that they were ready to take their relationship to the next level. Most important, the couple also made a no-sex-until-marriage pact, so we think it's time that they break it. Pop that question, Russ! (Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Dave Chappelle: Launch a real comedy tour already. - Could this comedian be any more of a tease? He's spent 2015 tempting us with mini-tours and the occasional film appearance, but he's yet to go full throttle. We want to laugh. We want to cry until we pee. We want more Dave Chappelle. In 2016, our resolution for Dave is to finally launch a real comedy tour. After all, Kevin Hart can't do the job all by himself. (Photo: Eugene Gologursky/Getty Images for Bombay Sapphire Gin)

Kevin Hart: Make a workout DVD. - The comedian's Instagram is filled with fitness gold, and he hosts a 5k in every single city he travels to. With Kevin at our side, working out wouldn't feel quite so painful. So, in 2016, we hope he resolves to make a workout DVD. Help us to our resolutions, Kev.  (Photo: Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

50 Cent: Get a new accountant.  - Rap star 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, turning to desperate vodka signings in middle America to make some extra cash. Then he appears to stash it in stacks in his refrigerator. What Fif needs right now is to face the harsh realities of finance. If you can fit a gift under 50's tree this year, stash a new accountant under there. He'll thank you later. (Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images)
