Birdman Is on a Mission to 'Heal' His Relationship With Lil Wayne

He also doesn't want to lose any more money.

A lot of people are aiming for Birdman’s pockets right now. It was recently announced that YMCMB was sued for over $3 million for not clearing samples used in a couple of their hits. A bigger chunk of his money though is being targeted by Lil Wayne as he still has a $51 million lawsuit out aiming to release him from Young Money, as well as pay him the damages not releasing Tha Carter V has caused.

Birdman wants to at least change the Weezy situation though, both for his financial health and to heal the longtime friendship with someone he continues to call his “son.” The music mogul recently joined ESPN’s Cari Champion for her Be Honest podcast and Baby was pretty honest about his relationship with Wayne.

“Um, I’ma heal that,” Birdman said in a reply to how he currently feels about his relationship with Lil Wayne. “That’s still my son. I don’t like how a lot of this s**t went down. That’s not like a lot of s**t that we have said. But, um, at the end of the day, I will never in my life say nothing negative about him – I won’t finish the game without Wayne.”

While Birdman may want to end the beef between him and Tunechi, Wayne hasn’t necessarily shown the same sentiment. In previous months he’s made fun of Birdman, been pictured with some of his rivals like Rick Ross and Trick Daddy and even donned a “F**k Cash Money” hat.

We’ll see how this one plays out. In the meantime, check out a segment of Birdman’s appearance on the Be Honest podcast below (captured by DJ Akademiks).
