Which 'Fake A** Rappers' Was Chris Brown Talking About on Instagram?

Breezy's IG always keeps it real.

Chris Brown is putting in work, and isn’t shy of reminding his fans what it takes to get to stay on top of his game at this point in his career. Sometimes that calls for big upping oneself or throwing a little shade out there. Gotta keep things interesting, after all.

Last night (August 28), Breezy, possibly inspired by the VMAs and perhaps one moment in particular, was a little fired up, taking to Instagram to do what he does best: keep it real and real vague at the same time.

Following Drake and Rihanna having a little intimate moment on stage, where the two awkwardly embraced, Brown reacted in a post that is being interpreted as shots fired at the 6 God.

“Supported my favorite rapper last night in NEW ORLEANS,’” the singer wrote, sharing a photo of him from a performance with Lil Wayne from August 27. “BIG BRO FOR LIFE @liltunechi if it wasn’t for him a lot of these fake a** rappers wouldn’t get an opportunity.”

Woah, woah, woah. Care to say which "fake a** rapper," Chris?!

Finishing up the post, Brown concluded, “Real friends don’t depend on record sales or cosigns. Day 1 family.”

Definitely feels as though Brown has something else on his mind he’d really like to say and it'd likely be directed at Drake. While the post truly is up to interpretation, it feels conspicuous it was meant for the Toronto rapper, especially given the timing, circumstance and their mutual heart-eyes (past and present) for RiRi.

Looks like we could have a new season of beef upon us, just in time for hoodie weather.
