Alicia Keys's New Song Will 'Celebrate' Swizz Beatz's Ex-Wife

It's titled "Blended Family."

Alicia Keys took to Instagram earlier this evening (October 6) to share that she has a surprise in store for her fans.

During the announcement that her new single, "Blended Family," featuring A$AP Rocky, will drop tomorrow (October 7), the singer opened up about how the lyrical content is both very personal and very important to her and her family. And that includes her husband's ex-wife.

Prior to marrying Keys in 2010Swizz Beatz was married to Mashona Tifrere, and following their divorce, the two have worked to successfully co-parent.

"My new song, 'Blended Family (What You Do For Love),' will be available everywhere at midnight," Keys began. "I'm so excited for you to hear this song. It means so much to me and our whole family. The understanding, compassion and support we’ve found is a powerful testament to the healing that comes when we choose love. Especially for the kids… the most important part of our lives."

The singer then added that the song is dedicated to celebrating Tifrere and their "commitment to each other with support and true growth."

Having a blended family, as Keys puts it, is not the easiest task and the song helps put a spotlight on a situation that many families can relate to.

As Tifrere worded it, the singer's newest single "is a true testament of love, growth and healing."

"I'm BEYOND proud of the work that the three of us most consciously applied to bettering ourselves for each other and our children's sake," Swizz Beatz' ex also added. "This is only the beginning for us."

What an incredible example these three are setting. Be sure to keep an eye out for the song's drop tonight at midnight.
