Safaree Denies His Tweet to Nicki Minaj About Having His Child

Hacked, perhaps?

UPDATE (7/28/2017, 5:00 p.m.): We're not sure if Safaree was hacked, and the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star may not even be too sure himself of what happened, but he's calling a false play flag on his tweet about Nicki Minaj.

Fans and publications alike captured the 140 characters in question that was sent from the music exec's account regarding his wish to have a child and the regret that he and Nicki didn't make it far enough for her to be the child's mother. The lamentable tweet was of significant shock value to us all, but according to him, those were never his words.

"I did not tweet that yesterday," he wrote on Friday (July 28). "I don't even talk like that.. any1 who knows me knows I would never out the blue tweet something like that."

It did so happen to be tweeted from Safaree's official account, however. Fortunately, he's now clearing things up for himself before any more presumably "hacked" tweets leak from his handle.

See his explanation for the original tweet below.

Original Story:

Safaree Samuels wants that old thing back. Just when you thought he was over his love for Nicki Minaj, the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star tweeted (and deleted) a shocking statement about wanting Nicki to be the mother of his future children.

“I really want a kid,” Safaree confessed on Twitter on July 27. The tweet was quickly taken down following media attention, but DJ Akademiks managed to grab a screenshot of the original post. “Nicki you were supposed to have my child,” Safaree added. “I can’t believe this is life.”

The reality star definitely seems to be singing a different tune about his ex these days. After ending their 12-year relationship in 2014, Safaree and the “No Frauds” rapper seemed to be at odds with one another, with both of them frequently throwing jabs on social media and in interviews. And the tension only continued to thicken after Safaree filed a lawsuit against his ex in 2015 regarding his involvement in the writing and creative process for Minaj’s The Pinkprint album.

The Jamaican producer has since been connected to his LHHH co-star Miss Nikki, but it seems that the only Nicki on his mind is still his first love. In a past interview on The Wendy Williams Show, Safaree accused Meek Mill of having a lot to do with his breakup. But now that Meek is out of the picture and Nicki seems to be on the market, that may leave room for Safaree to swoop back in.

Still, Safaree’s deleted tweet could be open to interpretation. Many fans seem to think it was a prank in cahoots with MTV’s game show, SafeWord. The show, which is hosted by Terrance J, pits celebrities against each other to play in a more intense version of Truth or Dare. In a past episode featuring Amber Rose, the personality was forced to prank tweet Beyoncé. But prank or not, Safaree’s stunt probably won’t get a response from Nicki any time soon.
