J. Cole Has A Message For Cardi B

Of course, she had one for him as well.

It’s been a while, but Roc Nation rapper and lyricist J. Cole is back in his 140-character glory for all of the Twitterverse to gather around.

But even while taking a breath from his globally successful 4 Your Eyez Only Tour and speaking out on one of the controversies that is brimming over in the American melting pot, a.k.a. Donald Trump, Cole also lent a hand of support and word of advice for hip-hop’s freshest face, Cardi B.

Hilariously letting his lack of social media savvy show, Cole asked his Twitter followers how to make a thread to get all of his important points across on Sunday (September 24). But before jumping into his enlightened advice for those participating in the NFL boycott, he shared some words of encouragement with the “Bodak Yellow” femcee.

“Also Cardi b I seen your breakfast club interview, loved it,” he said. “Don't put all that pressure on your album. You already won. Just drop & repeat.”

Cole was apparently referring to some of the worries she expressed during her drop-in with the trio of The Breakfast Club morning show. Cardi revealed that, while she’s anxious to drop new heat, she likely won’t be holding up to that October deadline that she promised her loyal Bardi Gang fans because she’s constantly backpedaling herself.

“Every single time I think, ‘I got all the 10 songs,’ I’m like, ‘I’m buggin’. These ain’t it,’” she said. “It’s just like —‘Damn! I’m competing with myself. I’m competing with the godd**n No. 2 record and stuff.'”

Of course, the social-media-sensation-turned-rap-starlet herself caught Cole’s commentary and took it with great honor.

“Is this real :') Son my heart is smiling,” she responded to the Born Sinner emcee on Twitter. “Well who am I not to take J cole advice?”

She furthered her thanks to him on Instagram, giving her utmost praise for another addition to her long list of supporters.

“Wow, I can't believe this!!! Thank you,” she said. “The support and love I get it's really a blessing.”

Dreamville, welcome Cardi. Bardi Gang, welcome Dreamville.
