Gun Play: Rappers With Weapons Charges

Newsflash: Rappers are big supporters of the Second Amendment. Or so it would seem, judging from the ridiculous number of MCs who've been arrested for weapons possession or other gun-related charges over the years. (Isn't that what entourages and security guards are for?) This past Saturday, January 28, Young Money rapper Cory Gunz lived up to his name when he was arrested in the Bronx for criminal possession of a loaded firearm. The promising up-and-comer is now out on bail, but he faces a mandatory minimum three-and-a-half year jail sentence if convicted. He also joins a long, long line of rap stars who've been arrested for packing heat. Click on to see just some of the rappers who've caught weapons charges over the years.
