Posted Nov. 1, 2007 -- Talk show host Montel Williams is moving into movies, executive producing a series of feature films in partnership with production companies this spring.
"There have been so many remarkable scripts and ideas coming to myself, the talk show and our production company, and we felt it was an appropriate time to take action on them," Williams said. "Our team at Letnom [Management & Prods] has picked a meaningful and exciting slate of films and is collaborating with very established and well-respected producers, writers and directors."
The studio will focus on true-life stories and comedy. A few are in the late stages of development.

Among the first projects is "4Chosen," which deals with racial profiling, co-produced by Starline Films and Insomnia Media Group.
Production is slated to begin in early 2008, according to Letnom. The two partners have already completed "4Chosen: The Documentary," narrated by Williams. Other include two romantic comedies, "That's Amore" and "All-American Girl."
Nash Scores a TV Pilot
Comedian Neicy Nash will star in an untitled pilot for the FOX network written by TV veteran Abraham Higginbotham ("Arrested Development").
The sitcom will be set at a ritzy New York hotel and follow the lives of its eclectic staff. Nash's resume includes her current Comedy Central series "Reno 911," Style network's "Clean Sweep" as well as the films "Guess Who" and "Code Name: The Cleaner."
