'The Game' Cast Celebrates in NYC

Last night's NYC premier screening of BET's The Game and Let's Stay Together was full of excitement. Like the Los Angeles event, the New York red carpet was packed with stars from the two shows.

Spotted early in the evening were Tia Mowry, Coby Bell, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Pooch Hall, Hosea Chanchez, Terrence J and, of course, BET CEO Debra L. Lee.

Just beyond the red carpet, guests (mostly enetertainement bloggers and other industry insiders) enjoyed specialty Hennessey cocktails. We ran into male supermodel Miguel Perdomo (Sean John & Pele Pele ads), New York radio personality Eygpt, artist Angela Mack and Hot 97's K. Foxx.

The 60 minute screening included the season's first episode of The Game, followed by a few words from the show's producers. Wondering what's in store for this season? Here's the 411 on the premiere episode without giving away too much: The ballers are back! Derwin Davis (played by Hall) is daddy to a new baby and hubby to Melanie Barnett (Mowry). San Diego Sabers QB Malik Wright (Chanchez) is partaking in a little extra-curricular activity with his boss' wife. Former Sabre wide receiver Jason Pitts (Bell) is still on the outs with his  ex-wife, Kelly.

There are plenty of surprises, but you're going to have to watch for yourselves.

The recently revived show, originally a 30 minute sitcom on the CW, has found a perfect home at BET. Mowry says the entire cast feels at home at their new network, and she's excited for fans to see Melanie's transformation. "My character is now a wife, she's a step-mom and no longer focusing on her medical career," Mowry says. "It's all about Derwin now."

We can't wait! The Game premieres tonight at 10/9c. And don't  forget to check out Let's Stay Together, which will immediately follow at 11/10c.
