Artists routinely complain of club promoters falsely advertising events featuring them without their written consent. Usually, stars like Nicki Minaj take to Twitter to alert fans of any con artists. It’s a tip Minaj may now be sharing with her labelmate Drake.

TMZ reports that two upcoming shows for the Young Money MC in Pennsylvania have been shut down after it was discovered that Drake was booked without permission. The shows were scheduled to take place in May at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pa. A rep for the rapper explained that the booking was made by a scam artist posing as Drake’s manager, saying, “Drake is currently working on his second album and not touring at this time.” As soon as the theater realized this they canceled both shows, refunded money to ticketholders and turned to authorities.
