It’s been two years since Eddie Murphy shot the dramedy A Thousand Words. But, for unconfirmed business reasons, the film was shelved.

Now it has been reported that Paramount announced that the movie will finally drop on January 13, 2012.

In the film, Murphy stars as “a blasé guy who learns he has only 1,000 words left to speak before he will die.” Helmed by Norbit director Brian Robbins, it stars Kerry Washington, John Witherspoon, Allison Janney and Modern Family’s Ariel Winter.
