The producer on his son's first words and future in music.
Mother’s Day might be on the horizon, but the press is still talking to producer, deejay and rapper Swizz Beatz about the joys of fatherhood. Page Six caught up with the multi-talented star after his performance at the W Hotel in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Swizz described being a dad as “the best thing ever.” When asked about the recent birth of his son, Egypt, with wife Alicia Keys, Swizz said, “It’s awesome seeing a little you in the making.”
Swizz was also asked if he and Alicia’s son would be encouraged to follow in their musical footsteps. In response, Swizz said, "I think me and his mom got that covered." On his youngest son’s first word, Swizz revealed it was “Baba,” which means “father” in several languages.
Swizz also has a son with ex-wife/singer Mashonda, named Kassem Dean Jr., and a daughter Nicole, with UK singer and producer Jahna Sebastian.
