The rapper/actor says: “Somebody gotta stop it.”
News of Soulja Boy remaking the classic film Juice has elicited no celebrity side-eye… until now. The Superman rapper’s former nemesis, Ice T, weighed in on Soulja’s reprisal of the picture and the fact that he will play the role of Bishop, originally portrayed by Tupac Shakur.
Recently, Ice was a guest on Shade 45 with Farragut Foster, DJ Wonder, & AJ The Man Child when he was asked to share his thoughts on Soulja Boy redoing the film. Upon hearing the news for the first time, a baffled Ice T responded: “What? But that's Pac.”
Then, expressing his amusement, he added: “At some point, somebody gotta stop it. I came out I made some statements….maaan, I don't know. Do you dude, do you. If the masses accept it, it shows you the state we're in… Come on man, you think I'd try to remake Pac's movie?”
He ended by stating he wished the project no malice. “Good luck though,” Ice said. “I'm not a hater…Eh.”
