Tupac Shakur wrote a film before he passed away but the possibility of seeing it on the big screen was slim up until now. NStar co-founders, Ivan Juzang and film producer Preston Holmes (Juice, Tupac: Resurrection) have announced that they are optioning the late rapper’s film, Live 2 Tell, via their newly formed production company.

The feature-length screenplay, written by Shakur during his 1995 incarceration in upstate New York, tells the story of a teenage drug lord and his efforts to leave a life of crime. It is the only script written by Shakur. The influential artist and activist starred in several successful films and sold more than 75 million albums worldwide before his death in 1996.

Live 2 Tell is the first offering from NStar Studios, whose mission is to develop and distribute research-informed entertainment that authentically represents the lives and issues of the urban market.
