Forest Whittaker

Long before he starred as Charlie Parker in Bird or played Idi Amin, which earned him a Best Actor Academy Award for The Last King of Scotland, Forest Whittaker was the mysterious football player Charles Jefferson in the iconic '80s teen comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Now, EW.com is reporting that Whittaker will soon reunite with most of his onscreen buds from nearly 30 years ago, including Sean Penn, Judge Reinhold and the film’s director, Amy Heckerling, at Spike TV’s Guys Choice event. The legendary high school alums will be inducted into the Guy Movie Hall of Fame and receive their trophies from another Oscar winner, Robert DeNiro.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High helped to launch the careers of both Whittaker and Penn, plus the modern teen comedy genre in movies.

Spike TV’s Guys Choice airs June 10 at 9pm ET/PT.
