The Oscar winner will return to the big screen.
Since winning her Oscar, Mo’Nique has been focused on hosting BET’s The Mo’Nique Show. But now the actress/comedian is in talks to return to the big screen for a supporting role in the indie dramedy Bumped.
The story “follows five strangers whose personal lives are both revealed and changed during a long layover at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport.” The cast includes Camilla Belle, Katie Cassidy and Xenia Siamas.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mo'Nique has fielded several feature offers since her performance in Lee Daniels' Precious. However, we are all still waiting to see if Mo'Nique will bring the story of Hattie McDaniel to life, which she has mentioned several times since her Oscar win in 2010.
