The Sin City actress gets cast in Trance while the fashionista debuts in Gangs of Roses 2.
Deadline is reporting that Rosario Dawson just snagged a highly coveted role in the upcoming film Trance. Directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire), the film tells the story of an inside man in an art heist played by James McAvoy, who butts heads with an accomplice portrayed by Vincent Cassel. Dawson plays the woman in the middle who develops an unusual relationship with both men in the edgy thriller. Trance is scheduled to begin production in September.
In addition, Amber Rose is stretching her multifaceted branding wings onto the big screen. The hip hop gal pal model turned eyewear and sneaker designer is the first cast member signed up for the aptly titled sequel Gang of Roses 2: Next Generation.
Rose tweeted a photo reportedly from the set with the hash tag #BountyHunter and Shadow and Act is reporting that the film's producer confirmed that Rose is indeed starring in the movie.
The original Gang of Roses, best described as Young Guns meets Set It Off, featured the all-star cast of LisaRaye McCoy, Stacey Dash, Lil’ Kim and Monica Calhoun as a band of female gang of Westerners out to avenge the death of one of their siblings.
