There will surely be much more controversy in the coming months, but if nothing else, American Idol champion Fantasia Barrino will take comfort in knowing that her year will end with a blessing. Radaronline has learned that the singer and actress is due to welcome her baby on December 29, 2011. A source close to Fantasia said, “They’re excited to be having a baby around the holidays.”

Before they get to that point, though, the Broadway star and her boyfriend, Antwaun Cook, will still have to deal with the legal fight with Cook’s wife, Paula Cook. Antwuan’s estranged wife has accused both parties of carrying on an extra-marital affair.

This is said to be Fantasia's second pregnancy with Cook. She allegedly had an abortion last summer. Fantasia has a nine-year-old daughter, Zion, from a previous relationship.
