Simon Cowell says the diva wants to be down with the show
It’s a rare thing for someone to say no to Mariah Carey. The British bad boy, Simon Cowell, does not plan on being the one who does it.
As he preps for the debut of his new show “X Factor,” Cowell, 51, makes it clear to People he cannot deny Carey, 41, of anything she asks for. "We have to find a role for her,” he says. “I'm a huge fan of hers – not just as an artist, but as a person, and I love her to death."
What would this role be, considering Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger are already on as judges?
"Add Mariah into the mix as well and you won't even have anyone singing," Cowell jokes. It seems everyone will have to stay tuned to see what happens.
"X Factor" begins airing this fall.
