Terrell Owens’ paternity troubles seem to only be beginning. The record-setting NFL receiver and VH1 reality star is facing a legal fight over child support. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Melanie Paige Smith filed a suit this week in Fulton County Superior Court alleging that Owens has not paid child support for the month of August. Smith also added that Owens told her that he doesn’t plan to make future payments.
Owens did make payments for June and July, but court documents state that was only after he was threatened with legal action. Back in May 2007, Owens was ordered to pay $5,000 per month with his estimated monthly income set at $666,000. The 37-year-old is currently a free agent, having last played for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010. Smith and Owens have a five-year-old daughter together.
