Fantasia Rumored to Have Lost Film Role

For months, Fantasia was rumored to be pregnant. After confirming those news stories earlier this month, the singer is now reportedly on medical leave. The American Idol champion was scheduled to perform at the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show in Atlanta this weekend, but has backed out of the gig per doctor's instructions. The company wrote the following on Facebook: “Due to medical conditions, Fantasia has been placed on bed rest and will not be performing at the show. However, the lovely and talented Kelly Price is now scheduled to be the headliner for Saturday evening.”

This may not be the only job she’s lost, though. Rhymes with Snitch quotes sources saying that after telling producers for the Mahalia Jackson biopic that she was pregnant, she’s since been dropped from the project. Initially, rumors of her pregnancy were dismissed under the assumption that the singer-actress was gaining weight for her role as the gospel legend.
