Soulja Boy The Movie to Hit Soon

Documentary focuses on the rapper’s digital rise.

Soulja Boy’s remake of Juice may be many moons away, but a documentary on his rise as hip hop’s digital music prodigy will be hitting the DVD racks in a matter of weeks.

 

Soulja Boy The Movie will focus on the many facets of the young rap star’s career, showing how DeAndre Cortez Way defied detractors by cleverly using various Internet and other technological forums to build his music career. Director Peter Spirer, whose other projects include the docs Notorious B.I.G.: Bigger Than Life and Tupac Shakur: Thug Angel, helmed the project.

 

The DVD hits stores on October 18.
