Royce Reed leaves Basketball Wives

When the Basketball Wives hit their reality show television court for season four they’ll be doing so minus one more player.

Royce Reed, mother of Dwight Howard’s son, announced via Twitter that she would not be returning to the VH1 series.

Reed’s tweet read, “Good Afternoon! As of right now I have decided NOT 2 return 4 Season 4 of BBW due to artistic differences. Things may change but as of now, NO!” She also added, “some things have nothing to do with money, but all to do with images/careers! Never sell your soul! Respect is hard 2 come by!”

The former Orlando Magic dancer now plans to expand her personal brand by releasing an energy drink, book series and workout video.

Reed joins a quickly growing group of Basketball Wives not returning to the popular cable reality series, including Chad Ochocinco’s fiancée, Evelyn Lozada, and Meeka Claxton, wife of Speedy Claxton, who was not asked back for a new season.
