Full Court Life star La La Anthony has it all: fabulous style, hot career and an enviable romance with husband Carmelo Anthony. But you’ll never find the reality star-turned actress (she stars in the upcoming romantic comedy Think Like a Man) taking her success for granted. She tells Today’s Black Woman Style Report (via The YBF):
“You have to set a goal and really work towards it. A lot of people say, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that,’ but what are you doing to get to that goal? If you want to act, are you in acting classes? It takes that kind of commitment to get better at a craft, and people see the final result; but
they don’t know the work it takes to do these kinds of things.”
What La works hardest at is her marriage to basketball player Carmelo Anthony. The couple have been together for nearly 10 years and have a 7-year-old son, Kiyan. Despite their bicoastal lifestyles, La and Melo always manage to make their relationship a priority.
How does she pull it off? “You need to have your own thing going on, so you can live in your world as well as in the world of your relationship.” Between Melo’s basketball career, La La’s commitments to the stage and screen, and their joint reality show, doesn’t look like that will ever be a problem.
