E! viewers won't be standing under the mistletoe with the Kardashian sisters this year, according to a spokesperson for the network. Despite reports in the New York Post claiming that reality television's first family planned to put their holiday cheer on display for a special episode but then canceled them when backlash against Kim Kardashian reached a fever pitch, E! denies such plans ever existed.
An E! spokesperson tells the Hollywood Reporter that the news is “completely false,” and, in fact, "this special was never on the schedule.”
The Post reported on Friday that plans for the special fell apart because the various Kardashians had “too many commitments,” which made it hard to schedule the program’s shooting. Though the fallout from Kim Kardashian’s sudden split from Kris Humphries was supposedly the last straw.
Instead, Kardashian fans — and those who just can't avoid looking at a train wreck — will have to make do with weekly hour-long doses of the famous family on Kourtney & Kim Take New York, which airs Sunday at 10 P.M. on E!
