Could X mark the spot where X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger used to sit on the popular singing reality competition?
Deadline is reporting that the Pussycat Doll singer may not be returning for the show’s sophomore season. At a press conference for the upcoming X Factor season finale Scherzinger was cagey at best when asked about her future with the show. She said, “I’ve had a lot of fun this season. The reason I took this job is I wanted to mentor, first and foremost. … It has been very hard on me, the elimination process. It’s something I could never have been prepared for.”
Scherzinger, a replacement judge for original show mentor Cheryl Cole, has received negative fan feedback since the series premiered. Most recently Scherzinger was involved in the controversy that surrounded the elimination of 13-year old contestant Rachel Crow.
Last week when X Factor creator, producer and judge Simon Cowell was asked if he wanted to replace Scherzinger, the usually outspoken reality personality was equally vague. Cowell said, “Haven’t got a clue. We change these shows all the time. You listen to the network, you listen to the sponsors.”
Guess we’ll just have to tune in to find out.
