This horror-thriller is ready to scare holiday films out of the box office.
The January box office is typically crammed with Oscar contenders and the last of the holiday films (which play like Thanksgiving leftovers...still tasty, but leave you feeling a little overstuffed), so when a Halloween-worthy fright fest comes around this time of year, audiences rejoice.
This year the film that has audiences afraid of the dark is The Devil Inside, a mockumentary-style horror flick about a woman who becomes involved in a series of "unauthorized exorcisms" (as if authorized exorcisms weren't scary enough!) while trying to uncover what happened to her mother, who allegedly murdered three people during her own exorcism.
Audiences have flocked to midnight screenings of this film like vampires to O-positive, and the pulse-raising trailer explains why. Watch if you dare.
