The former NBA star makes good on his promise to form stripper b-ball team.
You can call Dennis Rodman a lot of things, but the man is true to his word. After announcing last month his plans to assemble and coach an all-female topless basketball team for NYC strip club Headquarters, the NBA wild child is close to achieving his goal.
Among the players on Rodman's naughty squad is a small forward dubbed Bare Jordan, and a center he calls Stretch.
According to Page Six, Rodman held auditions last month at Headquarters, where “everyone got into sexy outfits.” “We had to play two-on-two,” said 5-foot-9 Stretch of the tryouts. Of course they did.
On Thursday night Rodman took his squad out to dinner at hip eatery Lavo. According to eyewitnesses, midway through the meal Rodman's party ditched their entrees and started dancing.
The ex-NBA star is hoping his scantily-clad squad will take on a team from rival strip joint Rick’s Cabaret in April. Given the way the season is going, New York basketball fans may be willing to trade in their Knicks' tickets to see it.
