Actors round out new BET series.
Actors Richard Roundtree and Aaron D. Spears have been cast in BET’s hour-long pilotSingle Black Female.
Both will star opposite Gabrielle Union. As we reported, the series — created by the husband-and-wife duo Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil — focuses on the work, social and family life of cable news network host Mary Jane (Union).
Spears, who stars in The Bold & The Beautiful, will play Mark Bradley, a charismatic co-anchor and close friend to Mary Jane. Roundtree will star as her father.
